Källorna, och hur de används
Den här webbplatsen skiljer mellan institutionella källor, vetenskapliga register, rapportering från tredje part och egenrapporterade uppgifter. Källor bifogas där de på ett väsentligt sätt klargör en roll, ett resultat eller ett bidrag.
De flesta personliga forskarwebbplatser ber om att bli trodda på sitt ord. Den här försöker låta bli. När ett påstående om en roll, ett resultat eller ett bidrag vilar på ett dokument, länkas dokumentet intill påståendet, oftast bakom en liten kontroll märkt med utgivarens namn.
Tre vanor följer av detta, och de är värda att nämna eftersom de ibland får webbplatsen att framstå som blygsammare än den skulle kunna. Roller beskrivs med institutionens egna ord för den aktuella perioden, vilket är skälet till att flera Unesco-titlar förekommer. Bidrag skiljs från författarskap: att nämnas i en skrivgrupp eller ett tackavsnitt registreras som just det. Och allt som inte kan styrkas utelämnas snarare än mildras, inklusive flera påståenden som fanns på den tidigare versionen av denna webbplats.
