This site sets no cookies for visitors, and shows no consent banner, because there is nothing to consent to. The only cookie the application can set is a short-lived one used when the site owner previews unpublished content while signed in to the content management system.

A single browser storage entry may be written if you choose a light or dark theme. It records only that preference, stays on your device, is never transmitted, and is not used to identify you.

Analytics and tracking

There is no analytics service, no advertising pixel, no social media tracker and no third-party marketing script anywhere on this site. Visits are not profiled, and no behavioural data is collected, sold or shared.

Hosting and server logs

Pages are served as pre-rendered static files. The hosting provider keeps standard technical request logs, which ordinarily include IP address, timestamp and user agent, for security and operational purposes. Those logs belong to the provider, are retained under its own policy, and are not used to build any profile of visitors.

Fonts, images and embedded content

Typefaces are self-hosted and served from this site, so no font provider receives your request. Images are served from this site and from the content management system's asset network. No video or social media content is embedded in a way that loads third-party scripts.

Links to other sites

This site links extensively to institutional and publisher websites, because it attaches sources to its claims. Those organisations have their own privacy practices, which this notice does not cover, and following a link means leaving this site.

Email

If you write to the address published on this site, that correspondence is kept only as long as needed to deal with it. It is not added to a mailing list, and it is not shared.

Your rights

Because no personal data is collected through this site, there is normally nothing held about you to access, correct or erase. If you have corresponded by email and would like that correspondence deleted, ask and it will be.
